LOCATIONS

If you find yourself traveling through Sevierville, Tennessee, a stop at Food City is not just a recommendation; it's a must. Nestled at 741 Dolly Parton Pkwy, this remarkable grocery store stands out as a welcoming haven for locals and visitors alike, especially those who cherish the experience of quality shopping even late at night.

With its extensive hours—open until midnight—Food City defies the common grocery store norms in the area. It's a veritable treasure trove for those late-night cravings or last-minute ingredient runs, as noted by customer Zay M., who discovered everything from disposable baking pans to dish detergent during a midnight visit.

The store is reminiscent of beloved grocery chains like Harris Teeter, offering a surprisingly vast selection for a smaller-town market. Imagine strolling down aisles stocked not only with staples but also delightful gourmet items. Some highlights from Food City include:

  • Live Lobsters: A nod to the nostalgia of older markets, adding an element of surprise and freshness.
  • Deli and Bakery: Perfect for grabbing freshly made meals or delectable treats on the go.
  • Pharmacy: Ensuring you can meet your health needs during your shopping experience.
  • Starbucks: For coffee lovers, it's the perfect pit stop to energize your shopping spree.
  • Reward Program: A customer-friendly initiative that provides discounts and savings for dedicated shoppers.

Notably, Robin O. from Memphis echoed the sentiments of many first-time visitors. She found that Food City exceeded her expectations with its expansive inventory, including pre-cut vegetables, gourmet cheeses like Manchego, and pantry staples at fair prices. For Robin, it wasn't just about stocking up; it was about enjoying a unique shopping experience, the kind that often isn't found in larger metropolitan supermarket chains.

As you meander through the aisles, the ambiance is inviting with helpful staff who are dedicated to ensuring a pleasant experience, all while adhering to safety protocols. With displays of vibrant produce, enticing bakery goods, and a well-stocked deli, this grocery store feels more like a community hub than just a shopping destination.

In summary, Food City impressively balances convenience and quality, catering to both everyday needs and gourmet cravings. For those seeking a delightful shopping experience filled with culinary treasures, look no further than this Sevierville gem. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Food City is ready to serve your every grocery whim.

I stopped here around 11:40pm on a Tuesday night to get some disposable pans to bake cookies and dish detergent to wash dishes as I was visiting from out of town. This store reminds of a store called Harris Teeter from where I'm from (NC). This store was the only grocery store open until midnight. Walmart still closes at 11pm. What I thought was interesting was that they had live lobsters. It reminded me of old Walmart days, lol. The store was mostly empty. They were in the middle of restocking as well, as there were boxes everywhere on the aisles. I did find what I was looking for. They have a rewards/membership program that give you a cheaper price. They have a pharmacy, deli, bakery, and Starbucks inside. They made announcements of closing at 11:45, 11:50, and 11:50. They made it clear that you had to be checked out by midnight. I checked out via self checkout. I don't believe any regular registers were open. Overall, not bad. I did wish there was the option to sign up for their program via checking out.

I visited from Memphis, and we needed a few items for the rental property during our honeymoon. Living where I do, I have a myriad of grocery options available to me, and didn't expect much of this relatively small town grocery. Was I ever wrong!! They had everything on our list, save one pharmacy item, and some kitchen supplies (colander). They even had Manchego cheese and prosciutto, pre-cut veggies and fruits, burger fixins to go, and a super butcher. They also had a lot of varieties of our favorite Duke's mayo, which I had to photograph. The prices were fair, and all of the staff wore their masks correctly. I wish we had this store in Memphis!
